My name is Julia & dinners with friends is my photo diary - a visual scrapbook of meals, homes, gatherings, places, recipes and travels: 

from location to ambience, from kitchen prep to menu, from colors to details,
recipes, ideas & photos from various kitchens, homes and favorite places around the world.

What started in februrary 2011 as an online platform to share photos with family and friends has slowly evolved into a blog with 200+ posts ~ an ever growing photo journal chronicling dinners, capturing friends in their homes, try new recipes, talk food and share the occasional culinary travel find ...

I am neither a chef, photographer or writer {definitely not a writer, hence a photo blog!} - I just love cooking, sharing good times with friends, exploring, browsing cookbooks, snapping pictures {& have a soft spot for the Italian aperitivo tradition}, so dinners with friends is a visual diary of all of the above ...
